SentiLink prevents synthetic fraud, an emerging fraud vector in which a fraudster opens an account using a name, DOB, and SSN that don't all belong to a real person. We further subdivide this fraud into two primary categories: first party synthetic fraud, in which the name and DOB belong to the applicant, and third party synthetic fraud, where the identity is completely made up. We also detect various types of credit abuse, including the purchase of authorized user tradelines. Our API detects and distinguishes between these fraudulent applications in real time, and can also return the true identity of the applicant in the first party case. We're backed by Andreessen Horowitz, Nyca Partners, and Max Levchin.
