Mongkha joined the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco (FRBSF) in 2001 as a safety and soundness associate bank examiner. During her years as a field examiner, she oversaw examinations and inspections of community and regional banking organizations, branches and agencies of foreign banking organizations, and holding companies. During the midst of the financial crisis, she served as an Examining Manager and had primary oversight of a portfolio of community banks, troubled institutions, and holding companies. From 2014‐2018, she took on the role of Director of the Community Institutions Group, where she oversaw the FRBSF’s supervisory program for community banking organizations in the District. Currently, her responsibilities as Group Vice President includes oversight for the areas of Applications, Consumer Compliance Supervision, Credit Risk Management, and Fintech.

Mongkha holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Finance, from the University of Southern California.
