Dan Ciporin joined Canaan Partners in 2007, specializing in financial technology, marketplaces, digital media and e-commerce investments. He currently sits on the boards of publicly held Lending Club, as well as numerous private companies including Orchard, CircleUp, ShopKeep, Borro and Paxos. Dan has been involved in the ecommerce and fintech sectors for more than 20 years, and before turning to the world of venture investing was Chairman and CEO of Shopping.com. He led the company from zero to over $100mm+ in just five years and took it public in 2004, after which it was acquired by eBay in 2005. Prior to Shopping.com, Dan served as senior vice president of MasterCard International, where he managed global debit services. Dan holds an A.B. from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and an M.B.A. from Yale University.
