Rory McHugh has over 15 years of capital markets, financing, and derivatives experience in a range of investment banking, issuer roles, and buy-side roles. In 2017 he took time out to fulfil the ambition of climbing Everest. He covered the 10-week expedition as a columnist for the Irish times, raised money to build schools in Nepal, and successfully reached the summit on May 26th 2017. While not training or climbing he has been busy in 2017 working with and investing in non-bank lenders in the UK and Ireland, both assisting them launch new products and secure funding arrangements. Previous to his 2017 adventures, he was Managing Director and Head of Specialist Lender and FinTech solutions at RBS, Head of Structured Finance at Bradford and Bingley, and he worked in the Securitisation teams at Barclays Capital and BW Bank.
