Andrea Jung is one of the most powerful women in America; she is the former CEO of Avon and currently sits on the board of GE and Apple; she is currently the CEO of Grameen America; Jung is interviewed by Sandy Fernandez who is part of the MasterCard Center for Inclusive Growth and leads the philanthropic efforts across North and South America; they discuss financial inclusion in the US and Grameen America which is the fastest growing non-profit micro finance program in the US; they operate in 13 cities, have 19 branches and have lent $620 million to 80,000 women across 275,000 loans; the loans help women build businesses and build their credit scores; Grameen’s approach is very different than most lenders which is discussed in this fireside chat.
