Joel Katz

Joel Katz joined HomeBridge in March 2010 as its President, but has been involved in various facets of the residential mortgage business for more than twenty years.

Before joining HomeBridge, Joel was a Managing Director in private equity at Fortress Investment Group (2007-2010). Prior to Fortress, Mr. Katz was a Director in the Mortgage Finance Group at Salomon Smith Barney (which became Citigroup) for six years, financing residential mortgage lenders.

Katz was the President and CEO of Union Planters Mortgage Company in Memphis, Tennessee from 1997-1999, President and CEO of Boatmen’s National Mortgage from 1995-1996, and CEO of National Mortgage Company from 1991 until its sale to Boatmen’s in 1995.

Joel Katz has a B.A. from The Johns Hopkins University, and a J.D. from Georgetown University.
