Tom Light is the Deputy Director of Grameen Foundation's Capital Management & Advisory Center, where he is responsible for directing approximately $50 million in capital through two investment facilities that provide credit enhancements, loans and equity investments to innovative social enterprises serving clients at the base of the pyramid across Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia and the Americas. He has over 15 years' experience in investment banking, impact investing, program management, and public-private partnership development. Prior to joining the Grameen Foundation, he was employed by the Clinton Health Access Initiative as Country Director in the Dominican Republic and Senior Advisor to African programs in Zambia. Prior to that, he spent eight years in the investment banking industry in various positions of increasing responsibility, eventually serving as the Head of Equity Research in Eastern Europe for UBS Investment Bank.

Tom received his B.A with honors from the University of Michigan in Quantitative Economics, holds an M.B.A. in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA).
