Randal Johnson

Randal Johnson, CFA is head of the consumer and marketplace lending business within the Structured Credit Group at Deutsche Bank. Randal is responsible for the warehouse lending, principal finance and ABS placement activities conducted by Deutsche Bank in these sectors. Randal has been with Deutsche Bank for over ten years, in a variety of roles covering consumer finance, small business finance and real estate finance. He has experience across a wide range of asset classes and structures, including CMBS, commercial bridge lending, CLOs, RMBS, non-performing assets, mortgage servicing assets, derivatives and repo. Prior to his role in marketplace lending, Randal co-led the development of the single family rental and small balance commercial mortgages businesses at Deutsche Bank. Randal structured and launched the first-ever rated securitization backed by single family rental homes (Invitation Homes 2013-SFR1). Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Randal worked in asset-backed securitization group at Lehman Brothers.

Randal received both a B.A. in Economics and in Political Science from the University of Chicago.
