Lawton has a range of finance and securitization experience, including representing underwriters and arrangers, originators and issuers, credit enhancers, and investors in a variety of securitizations, structured products and covered bonds. He has been active in structuring warehouse facilities and securitizations relating to various marketplace lending platforms, and has advised on securitizations involving mortgage loans; small business loans; consumer finance receivables; auto loans; export credit agency (ECA) loans; and emerging market “future flows.” He has also advised on the structuring of REITs, CLOs, EETCs, catastrophe bonds, cash and synthetic collateralized debt obligations, and on various derivative instruments.
