John Duncan

John serves as a strategic advisor to numerous of the world’s largest alternative asset management firms and helps them understand how public policy is changing across a variety of sectors in order to better inform their investment decisions, particularly in the financial services and mortgage sectors. John has served as Director of Policy for the U.S. Secretary of Commerce and as acting Chief of Staff to the U.S. Secretary of Labor. He also served as a senior advisor and campaign manager to Newt Gingrich. Throughout his time in Washington, John has worked with the White House, Congress, and federal agencies to shape policy across a broad variety of industry sectors. He has led corporate strategy, industry analysis and new technology initiatives at Microsoft Corp. and SEVEN Networks. In addition, he has worked in the venture capital community at Ignition Partners.

John has a M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School and a B.A. from Georgetown University.
