    The first P2P lending fund launched back in 2013 and in only three short years the market has expanded in both its breadth and depth of investment fund strategies. This workshop will begin by highlighting some of the leading fund managers in categories like 40 Act funds, transitional capital, the VC perspective, and how large investors access the category. The workshop will transition to operating issues that fund managers deal with including compliance infrastructure, ECI, UBTI, other tax matters and valuation methodology.

    Online lending investment products offer investors high yields, short duration, and low correlation to the broader markets, which could be a alternative for wealth managers. But there are significant business and technological barriers that must be resolved in order to connect the online lending and wealth management industries. This workshop will educate wealth managers on P2P lending as an asset class and will instruct lenders on how to navigate the wealth management ecosystem.
