Are you a driven and detail-oriented Event Manager determined to make an impact on events by providing the highest quality of logistical support? Are you passionate about working on a small team in a fast-paced, creative environment with varied activities and responsibilities?

LendIt is hiring a full-time event operations manager to support the conceptualization, planning and execution of its global conferences, expos and networking events.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 year’s experience executing trade shows, is organized, detailed oriented and accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment.

Day-to-day activities will include: 
  • Plan, design, produce and deliver events within set timeframes
  • Liaise with the content, sales, and marketing teams to make certain logistical and operational requirements are met for events
  • Manage all event details such as floor plan, AV, decor, catering, entertainment, temp staff, etc
  • Conduct market research, gather information and negotiate contracts with key suppliers
  • Manage key supplier relations and ensure on-time delivery of contracted services
  • Lead small project teams geared to specific event elements to achieve stated outcomes
  • Develop and manage event budgets to be within projected expenses
  • Provide customer support to sponsors and exhibitors to ensure their successful participation
  • Create sponsor and exhibitor communication documents such as exhibitor manual, emails, website pages, and other items as needed
  • Oversee sponsor graphics production including on time receipt of production files to meet vendor deadlines
  • Propose ideas to improve provided services and event quality
  • Ensure compliance with insurance, contractual and health and safety obligations
  • Proactively handle any arising issues and troubleshoot any emerging problems both during planning and at the events
  • A bachelor’s degree
  • At least 5 years event planning and operations experience working with exhibitors and sponsors on large-scale events
  • Knowledge of trade show booth setup rules and guidelines
  • Familiar with terms and standards for submitting graphics files for production
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Detail oriented and organized and ability to multitask
  • Creative problem solver
  • Excellent time management and project management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Docs/Sheets/Forms
  • Fluent in spoken and written Mandarin as well as English a plus
