Monica Gogna is a partner in the investment management and financial services regulation team. She serves as a board member of the European Chapter of ‘Women in ETFs’, and is currently a member of the HM Treasury working group for P2P ISA eligibility.

Monica has extensive experience advising banks, investment managers (including traditional, private equity and hedge funds), private banks, foreign governments and regulators on a wide range of regulatory issues. Her experience extends to advising firms on cross-border regulatory matters, as well as advising them on the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD), Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities (UCITS), European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR), the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID), exchange traded funds (ETFs), derivatives and retail structured products.

Monica has also advised a vast number of financial services clients in terms of developing compliance, governance and risk management policies. She focuses on the impact of shadow banking, including advising peer-to-peer lenders on establishment and compliance with the new FCA regime.
