Dr. Jean-Pierre Bussalb
Doctor Jean-Pierre Bussalb LL.M. (Sydney) is a senior advisor at the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) in Frankfurt am Main (Germany). From 1998 until 2002 he worked as a research assistant at the Faculty of Law in Jena dealing with Constitutional, Administrative and European law. In 2005 he graduated at the University of Sydney after having completed a job-accompanying LLM program dealing with commercial law. From 2002 until 2005 he regulated securities services institutions with regard to MiFID. Furthermore, he supervised financial services institutions being subject to solvency supervision under the Banking Act. Since spring 2005 he has been responsible for the approval of public offerings of prospectuses and since 2015 for the German regulation of Crowdfunding and Crowdlending.
