The discussion centered on the inclusion of P2P lending in a new Innovative Finance ISA (Individual Savings Account) in the UK, scheduled to take place in April 2016. The panel noted that one of the potential consequences of this development is the recognition of P2P lending as a more mainstream product due to the greater publicity it will receive. This would lead to broader awareness and a better understanding of the industry, which would be beneficial to future investors. Also discussed were regulatory issues and implications of ISAs for the P2P space as a whole.
